Featured Bounce Ahead Activities

Waboba Olympic Challenge

Suggested Age: 7+

Waboba Used: Pro, Extreme, or Surf

Players: Groups of 10

How to Play:

Assign 5 players to re-create the Olympic rings each holding a pool noodle.

The other 5 players have to bounce the Waboba through the rings to score. 2 throws per player.

1 point – bounce through any bottom ring.

2 points – bounce through any top ring.

3 points – bounce through any verbally predicted ring

Once all 5 players have thrown, they switch places with the ring holders so they have a chance to score.

The group with the most accumulative points wins.

Street Face-Off

Suggested Age: 7+

Players: Two Teams of 2-6 players.

How to Play: Teams stand facing each other 10-15m apart. Players take turns in bouncing the Street ball to the opponent’s side of the court in an attempt to bounce the ball past the opposing team’s goal line. Or if playing in a gymnasium, play against a wall, where hitting the opponent’s wall scores a point. First team to 5 points wins.

Airtime

Suggested Age: 7+

Players: Groups of 4.

How to Play: Groups have to keep the Flyer up in the air for a certain amount of time only using their hands. Students have to count every time someone hits it; once it hits the ground they have to start over. Also do it where students can only use their feet or where only two people in the group use their hands and the others use their feet. Additional adaptation: The group starts in one spot and has to move to another spot without letting the Flyer drop. If it does, they must start over.
