Rebecka Linderot
Title: Graphic Designer
Office Location: Stockholm, Sweden

What do you do at Waboba  and when did you start?
I started working as a Graphic Designer at Waboba right after I graduated in 2019.

What do you love most about working on the creative team?
Having ideas and being able to bring them to life, then sharing your creation with the world. Not everyone gets to do that.

What’s your favorite piece of content/marketing project you’ve worked on?
All the illustrations/cartoons for sure. I’ve been drawing all my life but never thought I’d be able to have it be part of my job.

What's your favorite product?
Waboba Mini, I got to product test it with my niece and it’s one of my most cherished memories with her, it was pure joy!

Send us a picture of your desk! What are some must-haves for your work station?
All my devices , some products for reference, Huion artist glove (what a game changer), a glass of water and a huge cup of tea .

What’s your favorite song to listen to when you work?
Lately I’ve been into cheesy nostalgic songs that makes me happy, think Backstreet boys, Avril Lavigne, & Cher. "When you’re looking like that" with Westlife always gets me fired up!

What did you do before you landed at Waboba?
I’d been studying all my life until I landed my Job at Waboba, I love learning!

What’s one fun thing that’s different about working at  Waboba than other places you’ve worked?
The relaxed vibes, you’re allowed to be who you are and no need for a dress code.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I recently found an old article from the local newspaper many years ago where I said that I wanted to be a designer. Dreams do come true!

What’s your secret talent no one knows about?
I have a talent for puzzles, when I was 6 I won a competition for 10 year olds.

If you could have any  superpower, what would it be?
Super fast learning ! I’d like to be able to master any skill I set my mind to.

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know.
I LOVE lemons. I used to eat them as candy as a kid and in university tequila was my go to drink just for the lemons. I even named my first pet hamster Lemon, R.I.P.

At  Waboba, we always aim to #keeplifefun. How do you stay a big kid at heart?
I try not to take myself too seriously and allow myself to be a bit silly at times and not hold back, even with other people around.

How would you describe the culture at  Waboba?
Passionate , innovative, and fun.

If you could tell your 12-year-old self something, what would it be?
You’ll move to all the places you said you’d never move, and you’ll have a great time living there! Never say never.

What’s your favorite way to play and stay active?
I love yoga and long walks, preferably in nature. I don’t focus too much on results or goals. Exercise should be easily accessible, fun, and make you feel good.

What’s a quote or song lyric you live by?
" Keep your head up, keep your heart strong"– Ben Howard

When did you grow up and what was the best part about that time period?
I’m a mid 90s baby so most memories are from the early 2000s. I miss the excitement of going to the video-store every Friday. It was a slower paced life, I liked that!

What  was the first concert you ever attended?
When I was just a baby my parents took me to a concert with Mikael Rickfors!

Where on earth are you hoping to travel next?
I hope to go to New Zealand and Hobbiton, I love Lord of the Rings.

Would you rather walk on water or walk on the moon?
I would rather walk on water, perfect for keeping your feet dry on the many rainy days we have here in Sweden.

What would be your last dying meal?
The best meal ever made, vegan nuggets with curry dip! And then carrot cake for dessert.

What is one thing you cannot live without?
Dessert, it gives my life meaning.

Where is your favorite place you've traveled to so far?
Abisko in northern Sweden, I experienced the midnight sun and saw Swedens most clear lake Rissajaure (36 m deep), you can see all the way to the bottom of the lake. Imagine skipping some bobes there!

What’s  something on your bucket list you hope to check off?
I want to be able to do a headstand!
